TUBE SWAGING Eagle Precision Technologies Inc. through its operating subsidiaries, designs and manufactures machines used in metal tube swaging to shape and manipulate metal tubes; it also provides services to automate and integrate these machines. Today, many tube fabricators simply don't have the time required to review part shapes, determine cycle times and research the various methods to optimize production needs. Eagle Precision recognizes this and employs a staff dedicated to assisting customers with their specific tube swaging requirements. The heavy-duty, hydraulically powered I/O 2000 tube swaging machine sizes and forms tubing from 25.4 mm (1 inch) through 82.5 mm (3.25o inches) diameter. I/O tooling is comprised of a set of inside expanding fingers and outside reducing jaws driven by hydraulic actuators. During operation, the inside actuator drives a mandrel forward to expand the fingers. The outside actuator retracts the front plate / cone ring assembly reducing the jaws. Two independent hydraulic pumps are used to drive these motions for superior forming quality. Exceptionally close tolerances are achieved since the tube swaging machine has the ability to change actuator / tooling sequences. |tube swaging|tube sizing|
