Thor Launches Largest Capacity clothes Dryer Available in North America The company says SoftLine offers a variety of space-saving advantages over laundry machines with similar capacities. As an all-in-one machine measuring 23-in wide by 33-in tall and requiring no dryer vent, Thor said it can fit where traditional laundry appliances cannot. APEX is the first laundry system to offer two independent clothes dryers, by combining a washer/dryer combination with a stand-alone 220 volt dryer. The only laundry system offering two separate clothes dryer, the compact APEX is designed for use in condominiums, apartments and small homes, where space is at a minimum. Thor's sensibly designed control panel includes easy grip clothes dryer knobs for simple error-free operation. Connecting Drain Line Your Thor washer/dryer comes standard with a corrugated drain hose for use with standpipe or basin style washer drains. Drain hose should be installed a minimum of 28 inches off the ground and a maximum of 40 inches off the ground. Higher or lower drain installation will cause water to siphon back into washer tub. If drain source is below the 28 inch minimum, arch drain hose through clip on back of Thor machine (see photo). This will achieve the minimum height requirement and prevent siphoning. Installation above the 40 inch maximum is not recommended.
